Supporting your well being

Support

It can be really unnerving and complex, when deciding to talk to someone about something you are finding difficult, and when trying to make sense of it all.

Someone listening to you in a non- judgemental, confidential, safe space can help start the healing process, and help you find your way forward. You can use your sessions to speak openly and freely about whatever may be troubling you

About me

I am a Counsellor, qualified to work  face to face, and virtually via Zoom, or by telephone. Face to face work is done in Brackley, Northamptonshire, and Banbury in Oxfordshire.

As a counsellor, I provide a distinct service, by being completely independent of Brackley, with no personal connections in the area.

As a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor I use three core theory types - Person Centered, Gestalt and Transactional analysis . Some of the work has a creative format. How we work together is your choice.

I work with adults ,and children aged 11-18

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their ethical framework; which can be found at WWW.bacp.co.uk.. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

My Counselling Story

My counselling experience includes working with a national gambling addiction support agency, and separately with 11-18 year olds in a secondary school setting and for the NHS. I have also worked in special needs administration in a primary school setting for 19 years, and been Fellow of the Institute of Personnel Management ( FCIPD) for 25 years.

I offer both on going therapy, and single session therapy (SST) otherwise known as One At A Time Therapy(OAATT)

With single session therapy, I offer support for one session. The client can use the session to explore what they have learnt from the session, take time to process learning and then decide if more support would be useful, or understand what happens for them if the same situation arises in the future.

Promoting better mental health at work.....Lonely at the top?

Just a thought .....

Leaders must either invest a reasonable amount of time attending to fears and feelings or squander an unreasonable amount of time trying to manage ineffective and unproductive behaviour- Brene Brown

We don't so much solve our problems as we outgrow them. We add capacities and experiences that eventually make us bigger than the problems.
